The 26th North East Games which will be held on mizoram on March 20th to 23rd will consist of eleven disciplines which will be held on different places, Stadium, playgrounds, Indoor stadium etc.

The scheme of North East Sports Festival Which has been renamed as North East Games from the 22nd Edition held at Guwahati in 2008, was launched by the Department of Youth Affair & Sports, Govt. of India in the year 1986-87
